ISSUE OF RATION BOOKS.—To date 28,310 ration books have been issued by the Chief Post Office, Invercargill. Three hundred fewer were issued yesterday than the previous Friday, which was the busiest day. Yesterday 2931 ordinary ration books, 806 children’s ration books and 863 sheets of special clothing coupons for children between the ages of 5 and 17 were issuedThe Chief Post Office will be open between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon today for the issue of ration books.
