CRASH ASCRIBED TO AIR RENDEZVOUS

(Rec. 7 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29. A Congressional Committee blamed a collision between an Army bomber and an air liner, in which 12 persons were killed, on an air rendezvous previously arranged between the bomber pilot and the co-pilot of the air liner. In a statement the committee said the pilots met at a party the preceding night and arranged that the bomber pilot should time his take off to coincide with the air liner’s so that the planes would meet at San Gregorio Pass. When the meeting occurred the bomber pilot wig-wagged his wings, went ahead and crossed too close to the air liner. The bomber pilot will be court fnartialled on a charge of manslaughter.
