The Grey River dredging return for the fortnight ending October 28 was 4920 z. BURNS PHILP DIVIDEND (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 29. Burns Philp have declared an interim dividend for the six months ended September 30 of .10 per cent, per annum, payable on November 16. WAIKAKA STOCK SALE There was a small entry forward at the monthly stock sale held at Waikaka. In the cattle section fat cows made from £6 up to £lO/10/-, other prices being £9/5/- and £B. A cow and a calf brought £6, a similar line realizing £4/12/-. Bulls brought from £4/5/- to £6/2/6 and a steer realized £7. A pen of ewes and lambs made up the whole of the sheep entry and these changed hands at 19/10. CLEARING SALE AT EDENDALE Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Lid., report having conducted a successful clearing sale on account of Mr A. C. Park, of Edendale. There was a sound inquiry and good prices were secured. Dairy cows, all of which were bred on the property, realized up to £2O, the average price being £l3/10/-. A two-year-old heifer realized £l5. There was also a keen demand for implements, a tractor bringing £352 and a power-binder £125.
