NEW ZEALANDER WINS D.S.O.
Awards For Gallantry (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 29. The following awards for gallantry in secret desert operations have been made to personnel of the N.Z.E.F., all four being members of the Long Range Desert Group:— > Distinguished Service Order. —Lieutenant (temporary Captain) N. P. Wilder; father, Mr R. P. Wilder, Waipukurau. Military Medal—Corporal M. Craw; wife, Mrs E. B. Craw, Palmerston North; Trooper T. B. Dobson; sister, Miss L. Dobson, Blenheim; Corporal K. E. Tippett; wife, Mrs P. O. Tippett, Te Awamutu.
Captain Wilder went overseas with the 2nd Echelon. He was wounded in September and discharged from hospital about three weeks ago. Trooper Dobson was also wounded in September.
