PERSONAL

The Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, arrived in Dunedin yesterday and will remain there until tomorrow.

Warrant Officer A. F. Gilkison, who has been visiting Invercargill on leave, will return north by the express this morning.

The excellent service given by Mr T. K. Fisher as secretary and treasurer of the Mataura Soldiers’ Entertainment Committee was referred to at a meeting of the committee. Mr Fisher, who has accepted an appointment at Timaru and who leaves for the north today, was presented with a cheque. The members of the Industrial ManPower Committee (Messrs M. W. Grantham, chairman, S. D. Macpherson, and H. H. Gillard), accompanied by the secretary (Mr W. J. Mathers), will leave Dunedin this morning to hear appeals at Balclutha and Invercargill. They will return to Dunedin tomorrow night.
