Man Given Probation (PA) WELLINGTON, October 28. Sydney Klinberg, managing director of the Tiny Tots Clothing Manufacturing Company, who was found guilty of stealing 4300 yards of georgette and 500 yards of crepe valued at £1179/5/10, the property of Woolworths (N.Z.) Lta., was admitted to probation for five years and ordered to repay the value of the goods in monthly instalments of £25 and the costs of the prosecution, £B/18/Mr Justice Blair said the fact that weighed most with him was not the value of the goods, but that the prisoner had hitherto borne an entirely unblemished character. So far as he could gather from inquiries the transaction had been an isolated one entered into as the result of temptation by a very clever rogue. There could be no question of probation except on the basis of full restitution, and he imagined the prisoner was very anxious to make it.
