N.Z.E.F. CASUALTIES

Invercargill Man’s Death (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 23. The following N.Z.E.F. casualties are announced:— SOUTHLAND DIED OF WOUNDS WHILE PRISONER OF WAR, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED WOUNDED AND MISSING BROWN, SPR M. E.; father, Mr W. A. Brown, 483 Dee street, Invercargill. OTHER DISTRICTS DIED OF WOUNDS, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED MISSING BELIEVED PRISONER OF WAR Laing, Lieut H. M.; Masterton. DIED OF WOUNDS WHILE PRISONER OF WAR, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED PRISONER OF WAR Sycamore, L/Cpl R.; Palmerston North. ' DIED WHILE PRISONER OF WAR, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED MISSING Noland, D. R.; Geraldine. MISSING, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED PRISONER OF WAR Tibbles, D. A.; Hastings. WOUNDED AND PRISONER OF WAR, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED MISSING Clubb, Lieut F. G. (M.C.); Ohinemutu. PRISONER OF WAR Reid, N. H.; father, Mr A. G. Reid, Dunedin. PRISONER OF WAR, PREVIOUSLY REPORTED MISSING BELIEVED PRISONER OF WAR Illston, J. A.; Sliverhope. WOUNDED AND REMAINS ON PRISONER OF WAR LIST Wilson, Lieut P. K.; Auckland. WOUNDED Woolhouse, Gnr A. K.; wife, Mrs B. E. W. W'oolhouse, Miramar. Sapper M. E. Brown, who is reported to have died of wounds, was 25 years of age and was educated at the Waihopai School. He also attended classes at the Southland Technical College. Before his enlistment early in the war he was .employed by the Calder Mackay Co., Ltd., Invercargill.
