NEXT WEEK’S BLACKOUT TRIAL
The district which will be covered by th< blackout trial next Wednesday evening comI prises the city of Invercargill, the RosedaU ! area, the portion of the South Invercargill I Borough north of Kingswell Creek and west i of Brown street, and the area controlled by I the Waikiwi E.P.S. ' Householders who have not yet checked. , their blackout equipment would be well advised to do so at once because the trial will i probably last for the greater part of the I evening, and no light is to be displayed I from any premises during the period of } emergency. I Special attention is drawn to the new (order of the Dominion Lighting Controller I under which all torches have to be masked ! to a small circle half an inch in diameter which must be covered with one sheet of tissue paper. This applies to torches used jby householders, pedestrians and ii/.F.o* ■ personnel.
