Cold and Changeable (Special) WELLINGTON, October 22. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh southwest Winds, strong in exposed positions. The weather changeable with passing showers; temperatures cold with scattered hail. Further outlook: Continuing cold and changeable. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and overcast. In the afternoon showers of rain fell, accompanied by a strong westerly wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool, calm and overcast. Tire barometer reading was 29.831 n (steady).
