MILITARY APPOINTMENTS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 22. Military appointments gazetted tonight include the following:— Lieutenant-Colonel J. T. Burrows, Southern Infantry, is appointed to command a battalion; Major D. J. Fountaine, Southern Infantry, is appointed second in command of a battalion; Major C. Langbein, New Zealand Engineers, is appointed to command an engineer and ordnance training depot; Major H. G. Burton, Central Infantry, is appointed to command a battalion temporarily and is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel.
