GERMAN HOME FRONT
Intensive Nazi Propaganda
LONDON, October 20.
The speeches by Hitler, Ribbentrop, Goebbels and Goering have marked the opening of an intensive internal propaganda campaign, says the correspondent of The Daily Telegraph in Zurich. The correspondent says that meetings were held in Berln’s big beer halls under the slogan “Freedom and Bread” nearly every night last week and that other meetings are scheduled for every night this week. Collection boxes have been an important feature of all these meetings. Lesser party leaders are also day and night haranguing vast crowds in the provincial towns throughout Germany. Gauleiters are even touring the villages. The theme of all the orations is: “Stick together. Do not be discouraged. Death to all doubters. The way may be long, but the war will be won. The new Europe will be marvellous.”
