ISSUE OF RATION BOOKS

On Monday and Tuesday 4933 ration books were issued from the Chief Post Office, Invercargill. The total on Tuesday was 2576 books made up of 2196 ordinary books and 380 "C" books for children 10 years of age and under. This is necessary because children between the ages of 5 and 17 are entitled to extra clothing coupons. On Monday 556 sheets of extra clothing coupons were issued at the Chief Post Office and on Tuesday the number was 771.
