SWIMMING CARNIVAL AT TEPID BATHS
The first swimming carnival of the season was held at the Tepid Baths last night. A feature of the contests was the performances of nine-year-old Patricia Smith, who swam the width of the baths in Bsec, fourfifths of a second faster than the time put up by any other girl in this event. In her first race over 33 1-3 yards her time was 25sec. This is also a record for a girl under 10.
