NEW Y.M.C.A. HUT

A start has been made with the new Y.M.C.A. hut at the recruit training depot and the contractors expect it will be ready for occupation in four weeks. Funds for the Y.M.C.A. war work are provided by the Patriotic Council. The hut will be 100 ft by 24ft, and in addition to the built-in buffet with all conveniences it will contain a padre's room with a small chapel, also a secretary’s office and library. Table tennis and reading and writing facilities will be provided. A well-known citizen has offered to lend a full-sized billiard table for the duration of the war and this offer has been gratefully accepted.
