LOAN SUBSCRIPTIONS

Yesterday £3890 was subscribed in Southland to the Second Liberty Loan, It was made up of four 1948 applications (£190) 13 1953-56 applications (£3700). The total to date is £47,640 since the loan opened on Monday. Mr A. H. J. Wyatt, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, will give a short talk on the loan and Southland’s effort from Station 4YZ at 7.15 p.m. on 1 Monday. The Southland Second Liberty Loan Committee will meet again at 3 p.m. on Monday to consider further means of creating interest.
