POSTPONEMENT OF SERVICE FOR STUDENTS

Students who intend to sit for the university entrance examination next December and who have been called up in the ballot for military service, are likely to be granted a postponement of service if they so desire. The Director of National Service has recommended to Armed Forces Appeal Boards that such postponements should be granted until January 1, 1943. Appeals must be accompanied by a certificate from the head master of the school or college certifying among other things that the student has reasonable prospects of passing the examination.
