FRENCH WORKERS FOR GERMANY
Nazis Extend Time-Limit (Rec. 7 pan.) LONDON, October 13. Reuter’s correspondent on the French frontier reports that Germany has extended the time-limit beyond Thursday to the end of the month for Pierre Laval, Vichy’s Prime Minister, to find the 150,000 workers for Germany. The drafting of man-power from France to Germany has met with little success, although it has been pushed with exceptional energy. Even if the official figures are correct, and they claim that 150,000 workers are ready to leave for Germany, there are still 118,000 skilled workers lacking under the French-German accord.
