Hogben, M.A., head master of the Dannevirke High School, has been appointed head master of Wellington College to succeed Mr W. A. Armour, who retires at the end of the year.—P.A. The resignation of Mr T. K. Fisher, town clerk, was received with regret at a meeting of the Mataura Borough Council. Mr Fisher, who has received an appointment as secretary of the Timaru Gas Company, has been town clerk at Mataura for more than 16 years. Tributes to Mr Fisher’s work were paid by councillors, who expressed regret that he was leaving the service of the council. . ,
