(Special) WELLINGTON, October 13. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate southerly winds predominating; the weather fair although cool. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and mainly overcast with a southwesterly wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool and heavily overcast with a light breeze from the south-west. The barometer reading was 30.50 in. (steady). THE TIDES.—High water, Invercargill, 6.34 a.m., 7.05 p.m.; Bluff, 5.53 a.m., 6.24 p.m.; Riverton, 4.53 a.m., 5.24 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 5.02 a m., 5.33 p.m. THE SUN.—Rises, 5.53 a.m.; sets, 7.14 p.m.
