PROPERTY DEAL IN ESK STREET
Purchase By Building Society An important property deal in Esk street, Invercargill, has been announced by the directors of the Permanent Building Society of Invercargill, who have purchased for the society the land and building known as Temple Chambers situated to the west of the present office of the society. “To ensure the future permanent position of the society’s offices, the opportunity was taken during the year to purchase the building known as Temple Chambers, Esk street, which is next door to our present offices, and should prove an acquisition to the society for any future improvements,” states the annual report of the direcSeveral changes in ownership of property in Esk street have occurred during the last year, including the building immediately west of that bought by the society. Temple Chambers occupies more than a quarter of an acre of land and comprises three shops, three office suites, a dancing school and a plumbing business. The property includes land occupied by a right-of-way.
