COLLECTION OF WASTE RUBBER

About 80 tons qf waste rubber have been collected by school children in Southland. A hundred and nine schools were concerned in the drive. This was reported at a meeting of the Southland committee for the Reclamation of Waste Material yesterday. The report added that some of the rubber had already been forwarded to the newly-erected factory at Woolston, Christchurch, and arrangements were being made to forward the remainder.
