NOTICE is hereby given that before the commencement of the use of an excavator for drainage work which may have an injurious effect on roads or bridges, and before any excavator work is undertaken on streams adjacent to roads or road crossings, the consent and approval of the Southland County Council must be first obtained by both the farmer and the excavator contractor. ON and after Wednesday, the 14th October, 1942, and until further notice, no person shall convey by Motor Vehicle on any road in the above named Districts:— (1) Sheep (excluding fat sheep and ewes with lambs). (2) Fat sheep and ewes with lambs for a distance exceeding 20 miles except to the nearest Railway Loading Point. (3) Cattle (excluding bobby-calves and stud cattle). The owner of any live stock and any goods service licence who is affected by the above decision has the right of written appeal to the No. 4 Licensing Authority, Dunedin, before 4.0 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 13th October, 1942.
