NEW RATION COUPONS
Old Books Should Be Retained When people receive their new ration, books, which will be available for distribution on October 19, they should keep their old books as some of the coupons in those books may be needed later. This advice was given by an official of the Chief Post Office, Invercargill, yesterday. He said that a number of inquiries had been received about whether the clothing coupons in the present books would be available after the new rationing period began. The answer was that these clothing coupons would be available for use until May 31 next. A person applying for a new ration book must write his or her name in block letters on the counterfoil of the O coupons in the present book and hand this in with the present book when application for the new book is made. One person may collect all the ration books for the members of his family. Ration books are issued at all post offices where money order business is transacted.
