Occasional Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, October 6. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate southerly to easterly winds prevailing. The weather cloudy with occasional rain chiefly in the east; temperatures cold. Light rain fell in Invercargill yesterday morning, but the weather in the afternoon was mild and overcast. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool and heavily overcast with a light north-westerly wind. The barometer reading was 30.33 in (rising). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 12.46 a.m.; 1.08 p.m. Bluff, 12.05 a.m.; 12.27 p.m. Riverton, ; 11.27 p.m.; Oreti Beach ; 11.36 p.m. The Sun. —Rises 6.09 a.m.; sets 7.01 p.m.
