Here is the Band’s Programme:— MONDAY, OCTOBER 12: CIVIC THEATRE 8 P.M. Band of the R.N.ZA.F. will render a programme of Popular Music. Prices: D.C. 3/-; Stalls 2/-, Gallery 1/-. Box Plans Now Open at Beggs. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13: CIVIC THEATRE 10 A.M. Special Matinee for Senior Pupils of Primary Schools. Showgrounds 2 p.m. Country People’s Day. Trains delayed till 5 p.m. Flight of Kittyhawks over Showgrounds at 3 p.m. GRAND VICTORY BALL 8 P.M. ST. MARY’S HALL. ST. MARY’S Air Force Dance Orchestra will supply Music. Tickets available at principal stores (See special advertisement). WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14: Visit to S.B.H.S. at 9.30 a.m. . GRAND RECRUITING RALLY (Noon) Come and see the Youth Parade. March through the city of units of the Air Training Corps, Detachment of the W.A.A.F. from Dunedin, Detachment of the W.W.S.A., High School Cadets, Boy Scouts, Sea Scouts and Boys’ Brigade. The salute will be taken at both War Memorials and his Worship the Mayor will take the salute at the Town Hall. There will also be a recruiting speech by Squadron-Leader S. Gilkison from the South African War Memorial at 12 (noon). The parade will fdrm up in the Crescent and Clyde Street. Flight of Kittyhawks over city at 11.45 a.m. Women Helpers and Traders Patriotic Assistants’ Committee and the Expending agents of the Patriotic Funds will present many attractions. At 3 P.M. GRAND CEREMONIAL DISPLAY (CRESCENT). Countermarching etc. by Band of the R.N.Z.A.F. to be followed by Recruiting Speech. 7.15 P.M. Parade of Invercargill Battalion of Home Guard, 32nd Lines of Communications and Air Force Trainees. 8 P.M. CIVIC THEATRE FINAL CONCERT. Prices same as on Monday.
