WINTON STOCK SALE At the Winton stock sale yesterday the yarding consisted mostly of ewe hoggets, which sold readily. A line of Romneys fetched the top price of 40/6. Others sold from 33/- to 38/-, with culls down to 30/-. Full and falling-mouth ewes fetched 33/1, There was a large yarding of dairy cows. Those with butterfat backing sold readily at from £9 to £l2. Untested cows were harder to quit, prices ranging from £5 to £7, with culls down to £2. MILNE AND CHOYCE, LTD. (P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 3. Milne and Choyce, Ltd., made a net profit of £18,948, compared with £48,551 last year, after providing £51,650 for taxation and £6693 for depreciation. The preference dividends proposed are unchanged, but the rate on ordinary shares and perpetual debenture stock has been raised from 5 to 6 per cent.
