ANOTHER BUSY DAY
SITTING OF APPEAL BOARD The sitting of the Southland Armed Forces Appeal Board was continued in Invercargill yesterday, and the members of the board again had a busy day with sessions in the morning, afternoon and evening. The majority of the appeals heard in the morning and afternoon were from or on behalf of farmers or farm workers. In the majority of the cases sine die adjournments were garnted with the proviso that the reservist should serve in the Home Guard. In the evening the board dealt with 120 appeals on behalf of railway employees in Southland. The majority were new appeals, but a number of the cases had already been dealt with by the board and came up for review at the end of stipulated periods fixed by it.
