DOMINION PRAISED
(Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, September 1. Praising the war spirit of the New Zealand people the American Minister to New Zealand, Briga-dier-General P. J. Hurley, said New Zealand’s casualty list was greater in proportion to the population than that of any other of the United Nations. “The New Zealanders are a great people,” he said. “They have come to a full realization that the present challenge cannot be met by words. We must attack, defeat and destroy the enemy ourselves.” Brigadier-General Hurley conferred with President Roosevelt.
