FIGHTING FRENCH ENVOY’S MESSAGE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 30. The following telegram addressed to the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) has been received by the Hon. D. G. Sullivan from the High Commissioner for Fighting France in the Pacific (Rear-Admiral Georges Dargenlieu), who recently visited the Dominion: “On my departure from New Zealand I wish once more to say how much I have appreciated the welcome that youi- Government has given me. The French National Committee will not fail fully to appreciate the Dominion’s recent declaration of its policy towards Fighting France and the most friendly words that you, as Prime Minister, have recently expressed. I further wish every success to the armed forces of your noble and beautiful country now engaged in the world war.”
