PRICE OF MEAT IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 12.40 a.m.) CANBERRA, Aug. 28. The Australian Government expects to have a scheme for the stabilization of meat prices operating within a few weeks. Alarming increases in meat prices, chiefly beef, have caused considerable concern. The Government desires producers to secure a reasonable stabilized price in order to avoid grave losses in the industry.
