Scattered Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, August 28. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to strong northerly winds. The weather cloudy with some scattered rain developing in the western ranges; temperatures cool to moderate. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was warm and sunny until the late afternoon, when a light easterly breeze sprang up and the sky became clouded. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was calm, clear and mild. The barometer reading was 3.30 in (rising).
