EMINENT BIOLOGIST.— A longstanding controversy has ended with the resignation of Dr Julian Huxley, the eminent biologist, from the secretaryship and membership of the Council of the Zoological Society, London. A difference of opinion arose some time ago regarding the distribution of Dr Huxley’s energies between the Zoological Society and other activities. Dr Huxley, in his letter of resignation, states that he feels no other course is open to him, I (Rugby).
