NOT A SUITABLE NIGHT

A suggestion that no more radio appeals for the patriotic fund should be held on Saturday nights was approved by the Southland Provincial Patriotic Council at a meeting yesterday. The suggestion was made by the publicity committee of the council, which also suggested that all literature pertaining to an appeal should be sent out at least a fortnight before the appeal was launched. It was decided that the suggestions should be forwarded to the National Patriotic Fund Board, Wellington.
