VICHY NEGOTIATES FOR SALE OF WARSHIPS
(Rec. 8.40 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, Aug. 24. The Tidningen’s Berlin correspondent says that Vichy is negotiating with Turkey for the sale of French warships at Alexandria. The correspondent adds that Berlin informed Vichy that it would not object to such a transaction.
