DEATH PENALTY FACED.—Herbert Bahr was convicted in the Federal Court of conspiring with the Gestapo to spy in the United States. Bahr faces a possible death penalty. The Federal Bureau of Investigation discovered Bahr’s espionage activities during an investigation of passengers on the diplomatic exchange ship Drottingholm on June 3. Bahr, who is an American citizen, returned to the United States on the Drottingholm after very intensive training in espionage methods in Germany. (New York).
