BUTTERFIELDS, LIMITED
Butterfields shop now presents an attractive appearance. It has been renovated throughout since the fire and the facilities for shoppers are now very convenient. In the main furniture showroom a wooden floor replaces the bitumen floor and this makes the shop much warmer; an alcove has also been erected for the transaction of private business; this will be appreciated by shoppers when arranging terms. In the showroom a ladies’ fitting room has been fitted out very attractively, with a long full vision mirror and the floor is covered with a feltex which makes it very cosy. The showroom at the back of the building for the display of linoleum and carpets has special natural and artificial lighting effects which will be an advantage to the buyer in the choosing of floor coverings. The shop has been tastefully painted, the colours matching the fittings and with the large window lightings Butterfields can now claim to have one of the best lighted shops for the display of furniture in Invercargill. —P.B.A. i
