ARMS PRODUCTION IN AMERICA

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, August. 19. It is estimated that American aircraft production plans will be fulfilled. The figure for May was 2000 planes and the average for 1942 will be 5000 a month and for 1943 10,000. Tank production, which is ahead of schedule, is planned to be 6000 a month by the end of the year. Ships are even better. May production was over 600,000 tons, or about 67,000 tons short of the average aimed at for this year.
