From September 1 next the Marketing Department will again purchase bull beef at the standard export price of 4>/ 2 d per lb f.0.b., according to an announcement by the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. J. G. Barclay. The Minister said that in March last year the United Kingdom Government requested that no more bull beef be exported from New Zealand, but in view of the present satisfactory position of the Dominion's stocks of export meat, the British Government had agreed that a limited quantity of this meat could now be exported.
