AIR CASUALTIES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 15. The following New Zealand air personnel serving overseas have been reported as casualties (all are members of the R.N.Z.A.F. and are pilot officers unless otherwise stated): —
F. R., R.A.F., killed in an aircraft accident; England. Lees, R. S., missing on air operations; Bay of Plenty. Webb, Leading Aircraftman J. J., admitted to hospital with appendicitis; Havelock. RECLASSIFICATIONS Budge, W. F., previously reported missing believed killed, death now officially presumed by the Air Ministry as in April; Auckland. Edwards, Flight-Lieut N. J., R.A.F.V.R., previously reported missing. now missing believed killed; Palmerston North. Harris, Squadron Leader G. L. 8., R.A.F., previously reported missing, now missing believed killed: England. Hendry, Sgt W. N., previously reported missing, death now officially presumed by the Air Ministry as in July; Auckland. Hutchinson, Sgt W. C., previously reported missing, now missing, believed killed; Gisborne. McLean, N. F„ previously reported missing, death now officially presumed by the Air Ministry as in October last; Auckland. O’Neill, Flight-Sgt W. G., previously reported missing, now missing believed killed; Auckland. Bace, Leading Aircraftman J. W., previously reported seriously ill. now removed from seriously ill list; Gisborne.
