HIGH SCHOOLS’ GAME ON MONDAY The following are the teams to represent Timaru Boys’ High School and Southland Boys’ High School in their annual match at Rugby Park on Monday at 2.45 p.m.:— Timaru. —Backs: D. Tozer, R. Ainge. Emergencies: K. Hart, F. Barton, A. Callender, J. Rennie. Southland.—Backs: D. Doake; R. Hishon, R. Walker, L. Fraser; N. Tennet, E. Walker; C. Bennett; forwards, N. Fallow, A. Redpath, F. Ross, M. Murray, R- Blomfield, S. Smart H. Edwards, J. Thompson (captain). Emergencies: C. Whitaker, H. Carey. C. Grey, H. Ryan. Since 1934 Timaru has had much the better of the fixtures between the two schools, winning seven and losing one. This year Timaru has a good set of backs, but it remains to be seen how they will handle Southland conditions. The Southland team has developed into a good combination and has won the Invercargill second grade competition as well as two school games.
