Langford, South Island zoning officer. The Mayor of Gore, Mr W. D. Shelton, was chairman. The milk vendors will draw up their own scheme in collaboration with the civic authorities. Mr Langford said that one milk vendor was being compelled to go to camp and he ha(J come to Gore to see that the people of the town were given a suitable service. He considered that the milk vendors should put a zoning scheme into operation as soon as possible. It was desirable that the scheme evolved should be of the vendors’ own making, with as little Government interference as possible. The purpose of the zoning scheme was the conservation of tyres and petrol, and it would also mean that producers would have extra time on their farms.
