HISTORICAL FILM
The film entitled "One Hundred Crowded Years," produced to mark the centennial of New Zealand, was shown to Invercargill primary school children yesterday morning at the Regent Theatre. The proceeds of that and two other .screenings in Invercargill on Monday and Friday of next week will be devoted to patriotic funds. The management and staff of the theatre have given their services free so that the entire proceeds will be available for the funds. In addition to the principal film, which is of great educational interest, the programme includes a newsreel and short features, including a cartoon. Adults will be admitted to the screening at 10 a.m. next Monday. The film will also be screened at Winton on Monday.
