ADDITIONS TO R.S.A. CLUB ROOMS
It is expected that the work of erecting additions to the club rooms of the Invercargill Returned Services Association will be started in about a month’s time. A Government permit for the work has been obtained. The additions are to be erected on the piece of ground between the present rooms and the Deveron street frontage. Downstairs there will be the secretary’s office, general office and a room for use by the bowling club members and for other purposes. There will be an entrance from Deveron street. Upstairs there will be a women’s rest room, a room for general purposes and a balcony facing north. Provision is to be made for the central heating of the whole building. It is not intended to make alterations to the present rooms in the meantime. The ultimate intention is to include the present secretary’s office In the billiards room, but in the meantime ample use will be found for it, as even with the additions there will be no superfluous accommodation in the club.
