Showery (Special) WELLINGTON, August 11. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh north-westerly winds backing to westerly. The weather cloudy and showery; temperatures moderate, but becoming cooler.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was warm and sunny. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was clear and cool with a light easterly breeze. The barometer reading was 29.92 in (steady).
