WARNING AGAINST I.R.A SABOTAGE
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 8. The Evening Standard’s Ulster correspondent warned Britain to be vigilant against an outbreak of Irish Republican Army sabotage following activities on behalf of six members of the Irish Republican Army awaiting execution in Belfast for the murder of a policeman. All travellers between Dublin and Belfast are being double-checked. Thousands of workmen have gone to England from Eire since the outbreak and are employed in the construction of new airfields, military camps, harbour installations, mines and shipyards. The execution of the six members of the Irish Republican Army has been postponed pending an appeal.
