BRITISH AIR RAIDS ON BERLIN
FLIGHT DURING BAD WEATHER (United Press Association—Telegraph Copyright) (Received September 29, 11.40 p.m.)' LONDON, September 29. The people of Berlin spent last night in their air raid shelters. British bombers again flew to the capital in spite of bad weather, according to an Air Ministry communique, but no details have yet been released. Neutral agencies say that there were two raids, one lasting for nearly two hours. A German communique claims, of course, that the bombers had to turn back before reaching the centre of Berlin because of anti-aircraft fire, but it admits that the Ruhr and the Rhineland were bombed. London has had one brief air raid this morning. During the night attacks were delivered on suburbs in the south and west of London and there were raids in country districts. A block of an isolation hospital was hit, but the patients were rescued by the staff and nurses. A German machine dropped out of the clouds this morning and bombed a south coast town and there were one or two other hit-and-run raids.
