PRODUCER GAS FOR MOTOR-VEHICLES

INSTALLATION BY CITY FIRM

One of the first producer gas plants to be used on a motor-vehicle in Invercargill has been installed in one of the trucks of Moffett and Company Ltd. The plant has proved very satisfactory for long distance running and because of the good results which have been obtained it has been decided to install one on the traveller’s car.

Itiwas stated yesterday that the demand for producer gas plants was increasing. The cost was about £7O, including the installation. It is believed that the producer gas plant can be run satisfactorily with Southland coal.
