ANGLING SEASON REVIEWED
SOUTHLAND CLUB’S ANNUAL
MEETING
A successful season’s activities were reviewed in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Southland Anglers’ Club which was held last night. The six competitions which had been held during the season were all keenly contested, stated the report. All streams appeared to be well stocked, with the fish in good condition. The annual quadrangular shield competition among teams from Gore, Mataura, Wyndham and Southland had been held on the Waimea Stream. The Gore Club controlled the competition, which it won. The Southland Club would control the contest in the coming season.
