Farrant and Mrs Landrebe, 15-9, 15-10. > PADDY’S MARKET About £6O was raised in Queenstown when a Paddy’s market was held in the Garrison Hall. Many willing workers helped to make the sale a success and many donations of cakes, produce and so on were received. Members of the Arrowtown Fire Brigade were in charge of the sideshows and members of the Queenstown Patriotic Committee, under the direction of Mr E. Sharpe, were in charge of the stalls.

In the evening a dance was run, there

being a fair Music was supplied by McSoriley’s Orchestra, Mr R. McSoriley being master of ceremonies.

Winners of the raffles were: Dinner, Ray Landrebe; quarter ton coal, Mrs J. Chalmers; iced cake, Miss F. McBride.
