WOMEN’S DIVISION

GROVE BUSH.— The Grove Bush branch of the Women’s Division held its monthly meeting in the hall, Mrs Coveney presiding over a good attendance of members. An appeal was received on behalf of the lepers’ Christmas gifts and it was decided that each member should bring articles to the next meeting to be forwarded. The goods from the Disabled Soldiers’ Association were displayed and a number was sold. The winners of the points competitions were: Best bloom, Mrs McCallum 1, Miss A. Bragg 2, Mrs Coveney 3. Bowl of spring flowers, Miss J. Coveney 1, Mrs Knight, Mrs Coveney and Mrs McCallum equal 2, Miss A. Bragg 3. Afternoon tea cakes,' Mrs Cooper and Mrs Coveney equal 1, Mrs A. Knight and Miss J. Coveney equal 2, Mrs Warden and Mrs McCallum equal 3. The roll call, “A humorous school day incident,” proved very entertaining. Social competitions were won by Mrs Bragg and Mrs Coveney.
